Born in Passau in 1951. Married, two children. Have been active in private ancestral research since 1978. A collection of all Hofer- ancestors and sidelines back to the first named Hans Aichbauer, born 1537 in Afham near Ortenburg. Fortunately all my ancestors and those of my wife came from the Rottal and Bavarian forest in the area of modern Lower Bavaria. I could find every thing about my family in the diocese archives in Passau, in the state archives in Landshut and in the diocese archives Regensburg – all with a minimum of effort. My expert knowledge has been achived through my studies of History, Politics, and Sociology. Many contemporary publications.
