I was born in
1976, and have been particularly involved in researching
my ancestry in the Brunswick area since 1992. As a
result of my detailed research, I was able to online
publish a “Heritage book on monastery villages of
Riddagshausen monastery”, which offers information
beyond listing mere data, and is regarded a scientific
work since it also analyses sources, such as pre-church
register records, information on godparents to simplify
demographic analysis, listings of relevant Holy
Communion-, and/or Confirmation records.
After
I’ve moved to Berlin in 2004, I am also committed to
family research in the greater Berlin/ Brandenburg
areas. I am fulfilling research orders commissioned by
interested parties at an increasing level. As a result
of working on a downloadable from my website, and
primarily German project which focuses “Sources of
population history in Brandenburg until 1945”, I am
familiar with the portfolios and assets of relevant to
family history archives in Berlin and Brandenburg.
Quite a number of important
public/national and church archives can be found in the
greater Berlin/ Brandenburg areas, and those are in easy
reach for me. My research area therefore includes, but
is not limited to Berlin/Brandenburg, the former
Prussian provinces located east to the Oder river, such
as Eastern Pomerania, Western and Eastern Prussia,
Posen, Silesia, for which the relevant archives are
located in Berlin and Leipzig. Being an active member of
several genealogical organizations, I am not limited to
archive research, but can also avail of preferred access
to specialized libraries and research of subject matter
literature. I shall be happy to compile an offer free of
charge in case you needed any assistance in your
research, and shall be happy to advise the best and most
cost effective way forward.
